About Georgin

Our vision

Protecting people and property. Security that keeps pace with industrial transitions.

Industrial security cannot be improvised. It must be designed, measured, and anticipated. It is no longer a simple regulatory requirement. It has become a strategic issue, at the intersection of three major transformations: decarbonization, digitalization, and sovereignty.

Our purpose is to provide manufacturers with the means to measure and anticipate risks in order to prevent accidents, ensure continuity, and protect lives.

"Our goal is to create a safer world."

-- Marc-Aurèle Andrieux, President, Georgin.

Our business

Industrial process safety.

Our core business is based on the control of physical quantities—pressure, temperature, flow, level—and their conversion into reliable and secure signals. We design mechanical solutions (pressure switches, thermostats, etc.) and electrical solutions (Zener barriers, signal interfaces, etc.).

Our products enable you to anticipate risks, prevent incidents, and ensure the continuity of critical industrial processes.

We operate in sectors where every signal counts, every degree or millibar can make a difference: nuclear energy, hydrogen, defense, water treatment, rail transport, healthcare, etc.

We work closely with site managers, QHSE managers, project engineers, purchasing managers, design offices, and integrators to provide reliable solutions, certified and configurable solutions, even in small batches.

Our history

A global, independent security expert

Georgin has been an independent family business for 85 years.

The company was founded to ensure the reliability of France's post-war electricity supply. In the 1960s, it expanded into pressure and temperature measurement and control instruments for industrial applications, gradually developing a unique expertise in signal interfacing in critical areas. In the 1990s, Georgin entered into privileged partnerships with major public contractors (EDF, SNCF, French Navy, etc.), becoming a benchmark in the energy and transport sectors. Since 2016, Georgin has been conquering international markets through subsidiaries in Europe and Asia, building a network of partners in nearly 40 countries.

In 85 years, Georgin has installed millions of measurement and control instruments in nearly 10,000 companies worldwide. With 2,500 active customers in more than 20 sensitive sectors, our products are now found everywhere safety matters, discreet but indispensable.

"We are proud of our roots and positively committed to the future."

Marc-Aurèle Andrieux, President, Georgin.

International

A globally recognized security expert

An international exhibition

With more than 50% of our turnover coming from exports, Georgin is firmly focused on the international market. We support major French manufacturers in their international projects. We also work with several foreign groups in their factories and R&D centers in more than 100 countries.

We regularly attend international trade shows, such as Euronaval (maritime), SIAE (aeronautics), and the World Nuclear Exhibition (nuclear).

A network of partners

We have built a dynamic network of 38 partners across five continents. We rely on their local expertise to market our products worldwide. This ensures that we are as close as possible to our customers and their specific needs.

Our partners are based in Europe (35%), Asia (30%), Africa-Middle East (25%), and South America (10%).

International expertise

Our solutions are ATEX, SIL, and IECEx certified. Our experts are trained in the latest international safety standards, particularly in critical areas such as corrosion and seismic activity.

We have the necessary accreditations to work in demanding environments and highly sensitive sectors such as nuclear power and defense.

A dynamic of innovation

Innovation is in our DNA. It is pragmatic, progressive, and strategic.
It is based on three pillars:

Continuous improvement

We are developing a continuous improvement approach in all areas of industrial process safety: materials, miniaturization, certifications.

In 1970, we were already the leading French manufacturer of intrinsically safe equipment. Our first patents date back to the 1980s for pressure switches and steam pressure thermostats, followed in the 2010s by SIL3-rated Zener barriers. We recently launched a new generation of signal interfaces.

We are currently testing new materials and will soon be incorporating new physical quantities.

Progressive digitization: transition from analog to digital, integration of smart electronics, standardized communication protocols (Ethernet APL, Fieldbus, etc.).

Several years ago, we transitioned from pure mechanics to mechatronics and electronics. Today, we are working on the next generation of connected instruments.

We are working on new sensors (flow, level), connected sensors (IIoT), predictive maintenance solutions, and in the fields of 3D printing, mechatronics, and nanotechnology.

Strategic industrial autonomy: We are looking to the future with a desire to embed welding and machining in our DNA for the sake of autonomy and flexibility (prototyping and specificity).

Innovation is also managerial and cultural. We place operational excellence at the heart of our transformation. Behind this dynamic lies a clear ambition: to create the next generation of industrial safety solutions.
